Beethoven and Friends is a group of friends who enjoy performing great music together.  Our ensemble name honors a favorite composer, whose music is generally featured in our performances.  We’re not limited to a single era, country, or style, believing that good music is timeless and not confined by the lines on a map.

The members of our ensemble met at the annual CalCap Chamber Music Workshop at CSUS, where we discovered that we had a common love of playing chamber music, and the desire to form a local group to share chamber music with Sacramento area audiences.  The addition of the clarinet to the traditional piano trio has given us the opportunity to explore a wider variety of music, mixing and matching instruments to offer solos,  duos, trios, and quartets.  We also invite friends to join us in works that we otherwise couldn't offer with our instrumentation.
